Leave
The leave system of the Company is based on the Employment Act 1955. A simplified version will be described below while the detailed explanation shall be described in the Employment Act 1955.
Annual Leave
- An employee shall be entitled for annual leave on a pro-rated basis.
- Only permanent employee is allowed to utilize annual leave.
- An employee under probationary period shall be entitled for annual leave on a pro-rated basis, however only claimable when he/she is converted to a permanent employee.
- The annual leave balance will be converted into cash at the end of the year under normal circumstances. Leave encashment policy is not an obligatory and the managing director reserves the right to alter the policy based on the Company annual performance.

Sick Leave
Sick leave shall be considered based on working day(s).
An employee shall apply for sick/medical leave after examination by
- a registered medical practitioner duly appointed by the Company; or
- appropriate Government Hospital Authorities; or
- any registered medical practitioner in cases of emergency.

You will have to inform your immediate Superior or Head of Department on the same day you are on sick leave and failure to inform shall be deemed as absent without leave and may be subject to disciplinary action unless with valid reason.
Hospitalisation Leave
- An employee is entitled for sixty (60) days hospitalisation leave in the aggregate each year, and this is non-cumulative and inclusive of outpatient sick leave.
- Only permanent employee is allowed to utilize hospitlisation leave.
- Hospitalization leave shall be considered consecutively and intervening rest days shall be included.
Maternity Leave
- A female employee is entitled for ninety-eight (98) days maternity leave which consecutive and inclusive of Rest Days and Public Holidays
- A female employee shall not be entitled to maternity leave if at the time of her confinement she has five (5) or more surviving children.
- Maternity leave shall be considered to commence any day within a period of thirty (30) days immediately following her confinement and also applicable to birth or miscarriage after twenty-eight (28) weeks of pregnancy whether alive or still born.
Unpaid Leave
Employees are not encouraged to apply for unpaid leave however; the Company shall grant unpaid leave to deserving employees of up to thirty (30) days under special circumstances.
Where an employee ceases to be entitled to any annual leave during a period of festive or other Company shutdown, the employee may be required to utilise unpaid leave.
Absence without Leave
Absence without leave or prior approval is an offense, and if an employee have been absent for a period of more than forty-eight (48) hours without informing or attempting to inform the Company and without reasonable excuse, he/she shall be subjected to disciplinary action.
